Our client requires a Senior Java/Flex Developer for a 3-6 month project in the Greater Columbus, Ohio area.
The Sr. Developer has proficient knowledge of the Java programming language along with Adobe Flex experience. The developer should possess the ability to take business requirements and develop the total technical design and coding specifications and use cases. The Sr. Developer should have a thorough understanding of life cycle development through production implementation and post implementation. The Sr. Developer has the ability to communicate with the various personnel across the company.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Take business requirements and develop coding, unit and test specifications.
Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects, working closely with the testing team and project managers
Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Sr. Developer should possess technical expertise in the following:
Strong Java development experience with focus on web development (JSP, Servlet, JMS, JDBC, J2EE Security, Struts)
Experienced in Rich Internet Application Development, specifically with Adobe FLEX
Understanding of standard web frameworks and languages (HTML, CSS, Javacript, AJAX)
Knowledge of standard web service development frameworks and methodologies (SOAP and RESTful)
Experience with standard SQL against DB2/UDB, Informix, Oracle, mySQL or SQLServer
General proficiency in XML
Experience with UNIX shell scripts
ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner
Strong decision making abilities
