Senior Product Designer
Located in Santa Monica, CA
Demand Media is looking for a Senior Product Designer with experience concepting and designing consumer­-facing digital products for large audiences. This candidate must be a critical problem solver with a strong visual design background.
In this position, you will:
● Communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually in a way that is effective and engaging
● Work directly with the product and engineering teams to concept and design user interfaces and experiences
● Create foundational design patterns, style guides and the visual voice of the product and brand communication.
● Collaborate with and manage a small team of in­house designers and freelancers
Requirements:
● Minimum of 5 years experience
● Experience turning complex problems into simple, and engaging user experiences for web and mobile, including native apps
● Background in developing prototypes, including interactions, animations and transitions
● Ability to brainstorm, sketch, wireframe, and prototype product designs
● Strong understanding of HTML/CSS/JS and other web technologies
● Demonstrated comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and acting on feedback and constructive criticism
● Obsessive attention to detail
● Current portfolio of work
