Director of Information Technology

Duties: Plans, implements, and sustains a comprehensive information and technology environment including instructional design and desktop support for the short and long term goals of the academic, administrative and online technology needs. Will include selection, testing, implementing, and optimization of core financial, HR, and student information systems, as well as the same for other key ancillary functions, including calendaring, CMS, digital signatures, and other systems in use by various departments. Will work with the IT Steering Committee and the project manager to establish and coordinate priorities and manage precious human and capital resources throughout the course of implementing these new systems. Develops and implements strategic plans for continuous expansion and improvement of information and technology services to support growth in programs. Provides managerial direction for planning, goal setting, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and accountability for all areas of information and technology services. Overall responsibility for developing and leading the technology strategy planning efforts for the Information Technology department and ensuring that IT programs and initiatives align to enterprise objectives and strategies; manage IT annual capital budgets, define metrics based on overall business objectives to ensure the integrity, reliability, security, and performance of information and communication systems; direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide, information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers; establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures, adjusting IT standards and technologies to meet a changing technical landscape and more. A leader that has demonstrated success throughout their career and can build teams and solutions effectively. Responsible for working with faculty and staff to develop and communicate the status of technology plans, initiatives, and for promoting and delivering quality service to the faculty, staff and students.
