Security and Control Engineer

Profile

MSX International is currently seeking a Security and Control Engineer to provide 2nd level day-to-day operational support for Security Infrastructure solutions.
Provide Security Infrastructure support by performing the following: Active Directory hardware and software installations; start, restart, stop instances; monitoring directory replication; rotate and analyze server logs; availability metrics reporting.
The Security and Control Engineer will maintain server configuration; directory schema changes; upgrade and maintain Security Infrastructure software, etc. Test and roll Security Infrastructure homegrown solutions from the QA environment to the Production.
Schedule and implement Security Infrastructure changes off hours to ensure service availability.
Monitor production server performance and security, automate server related maintenance tasks and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Provide ongoing training for Security Infrastructure solutions tools for 1st level support personnel; respond to 2nd level Request Center and Service Desk tickets forwarded from the helpdesk.
Determine which requests require 3rd level support and send those to the appropriate 3rd level queues.
Provide input to the development of Security Infrastructure solutions and investigate security intrusion attempts.
Maintain documentation of all administrative processes, procedures, and configurations.
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; experience with MS Windows Server 2003 or 2008; Suse Linux , Scripting, VB or Powershell.
Minimum five years IT experience, with at least two or more years experience in IT security or equivalent.
At least three years as a System Engineer supporting MS Windows Server 2003 or 2008.
Knowledge of Password Synchronization solutions, experience with PKI encryption solutions.
Strong knowledge of MS directory solutions, Web Single sign-on environments.
One to two years of Project Leadership experience. Must have excellent communication, written and oral skills; along with time management skills.
Experience in Microsoft office tools, including Project and Microsoft Visio, is preferred; Network load balancing experience a plus.
