Assistant General Counsel-Executive Management
Candidate will have primary responsibility for legal work relating to the University’s technology transfer, licensing, and intellectual property operations. Must have JD Degree granted by an ABA accredited law school; Admission to or eligibility for admission to the State Bar of Michigan within 6 months; 4 years of relevant experience involving progressively more responsible transactional work concerning intellectual property and expertise in copyright and trademark law. Desired: Strong academic background that has familiarity with college/university operations especially copyright matters, licensing programs, and research and technology transfer operations. Would have an excellent writing ability and experience in patent law and be able to show progressively more responsible work experience.
