Senior Director, Law Admissions
The candidate will be the chief admissions officer for the College of Law and serves as an ambassador to incoming students. Will profoundly affects the College of Law’s educational mission by providing leadership in the recruitment, selection and enrollment of extraordinary students. Working closely with senior administration, faculty, students, the Director of Professional Development and Career Strategies, and the Assistant Dean for Development. Develops recruitment strategies and goals, establishes admission requirements and standards, and develops and plans programs with the Admissions team to recruit and enroll students who embody the diversity and excellence long associated with the College of Law. Develop annual admissions plan for the law program, which includes both J.D. and non-J.D. programs. Oversee admissions processes and procedures.Devise admissions policies in conjunction with the Dean, faculty and senior administrators. Deep engagement with evaluation and selection of students for admission, including through reading/reviewing applications for admission. Analyze and report on admissions statistics throughout admissions cycle and in annual reports to the administration and faculty. Counsel prospective applicants regarding admissions requirements, application processes, and preparations for legal study. Oversee the review of applicant files. Plan and direct recruitment networks by creatively and effectively coordinating the School's current students, faculty, staff and alumni to assist in recruitment efforts. Oversee recruitment events and programming for admitted students. Create and implement a data-driven marketing, communications, and recruitment strategy that promotes firm's programs to a broad and diverse applicant pool through a variety of channels and events. Identify and target emerging admission/recruiting trends as well as unique approaches for attracting high profile students with specific undergraduate strengths. Raise the external profile of the College of Law. Plays an essential role in advancing the priorities of the Dean to strengthen programs and services for students, faculty, and staff. May perform other duties as assigned.
