Profile

This position is responsible setting up receiving area, documenting, directing forklift drivers and confirming WIP while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Must be willing to take daily inventory of product in the Blast and WIP and arranging the WIP inventory as needed. Must be willing to reconcile inventory on the production floor and work on the process orders in SAP. Must inspect the storage areas at start of shift and report any deficiencies to supervisor. Must be willing to push and or pull racks on a trolley weighing up to 1200 pounds without assistance. Must be willing to stand and or walk most the shift and work in different departments as needed. Must be willing to use computer in order to complete job task, familiarity of programs would include Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Must be willing to communicate well with all other team members, problem-solving and critical thinking. Must be willing to work in cold environments temperatures ranging from (25 to 35 degrees). Willing to work weekends, holidays and flexible to changing shift when needed.

Must be willing to complete and pass the specialized training of powered material handling equipment. (Ex: forklifts and scissor lifts)

Will train, however, candidate will be assessed after 15 days and 30 days. If at the end of 30 days, the candidate does not meet expectations, they will be withdrawn. Withdrawn candidate will have the opportunity to bid on any other open positions. Candidate must take a class 1 position if there are no other jobs to bid on.

Standing, walking, lifting 80 lbs. maximum, bending, reaching, handling, seeing, pushing, and pulling. Basic computer skills, good communication skills (verbal and written). Solve simple math, and dependable. Candidate will need to operate machinery when needed (Peeler and CVP machine). Must be willing to work in a very fast-moving environment to assure that all tasks are completed.

This position will require Lock Out Tag Out responsibilities for safe operation. Good attendance is required and the ability to adapt to changing work priorities and work situations.

Successful Candidate must have 6 months of continuous work history with one employer in the last 12 months from the date of your application.
