JOB Description:
The successful candidate will have experience analyzing business requirements, formulating functional and technical specifications and implementing these specifications in a PeopleSoft, EnterpriseOne, (XE or above), AS/400 environment. This person will assist in day-to-day operational support of the system, including preventative maintenance tasks, user support, and some CNC support. May be called upon to lead small teams in developing and installing new applications and enhancements. Will be part of the IT production supporting the end user community. Modules include Manufacturing, Distribution, Planning and Finance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
* Interface extensively with internal and external customers on JDE OneWorld support and enhancement projects.
* Participate in all aspects of application development cycle including analysis, design, development, testing and documentation.
* Reviews, analyzes, and modifies solution definition including coding, testing, debugging and installing, to support ERP application systems and application integration processes.
* Creates and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and source/target data mapping. Updates installation and operating procedures documentation.
* Helps identify deficiencies with the software and/or application design. Determines an appropriate plan to correct problems and assists project team when implementing upgrades.
* Test and validate software fixes and upgrades, manage and maintain proper change and version control.
* Provide status reports on issue(s) resolution and root cause correction.
* Supports other third-party software applications (e.g. MS Access, Crystal Reports, Create forms, Sequel, SQL data warehouse, ETL tools etc.).
* Ensure IT standards compliance on data ownership, access management, data recovery, and maintenance standards.
* Research new technologies that can benefit the organization by providing cost savings, increased efficiency, enhanced communication, etc.
* Participate in ERP applications roadmap planning.
* Keep abreast of trends in the industry to ensure awareness of technical developments, applicable to the Company**s IT environment.
* Provide on-call weekend user support on a rotating schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
* BA or BS in Computer Science, Business Administration or similar discipline
Required Knowledge:
* Must have Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology or similar discipline
* Extensive knowledge of the JD Edwards Enterprise One Suite of modules.
Experience Required:
* A Minimum of 5 years of development experience at senior developer level working within a fully integrated JDE OneWorld (XE or above) in an AS/400 environment.
* Extensive experience using the OneWorld programming toolset including Form Design Aid and Report Design Aid
* programming and modifying JDE C Business Functions
* testing and supporting end users and use of Object Management Workbench
* Environment Management
* Scheduler, Data Dictionary and Vocabulary Overrides
* Table
* Business View
* Data Structure
* Interactive Debug
* Asynchronous, Processing
* Dynamic Link Library (DLL)

* JDE CACHE, Error Handling

* Complete familiarity with Event Rule Process Flow for all Form Types/UBE Sections
* Highly experienced with Event Rule Debugger and Java Debugger, creating interfaces to third party software, data conversions experience, including the *Z-file* processing.
Skills/Abilities:
* Proficient in MS Project and flow charting with Visio.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Solid knowledge of the business, applying business analysis skills in providing appropriate solutions.
* Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task concurrently
Manufacturing Knowledge:
* Customer Order, Finance, Planning, Buying, Item - BOM, Routing, MRP, Shop Floor Control, Inventory and Capacity Requirement Planning. Distribution and Quality management.
Software Experience and Knowledge:
* JDE OneWorld, RPG, CL, JDE Debug, OS/400 Debug, ILE-C, SEU, PDM, OS/400 Query, SEQUEL, CreateForm Databases - DB2/400, Operating Systems - OS/400 MS SQL, ETL tools , MS Access Crystal Report is a benefit to this position.
