Candidate will responsible for rendering legal services and supplying legal advice on matters affecting the County Office of Children & Youth Services. Work is confined to a specific field of law, to wit, Orphans. Court practice. Conducting necessary legal research preliminary to the rendering of decisions affecting operations in the execution of documents or in the preparation for trial of specific cases, including, but not limited to, shelter care hearings, adjudication hearings, permanency review hearings, miscellaneous juvenile court hearings, and appellate hearings, Orphans Court hearings, subject to general supervision (as needed) of higher-level attorneys, including the legal unit supervising attorney; rendering legal advice; directing the preparation of pleadings, brief, orders, etc.; leading in or conducting research in rendering legal opinions for judicial hearings and hearings before judges; preparing legal opinions for administrative officials; trying and arguing cases in court involving Juvenile Dependency and Child Protective Services Law. Performs related work as required.
