Summer Associate Program, 2021
The summer associate program provides the opportunity to get real-life experience on diverse projects. Will have the chance to accompany lawyers to court appearances, arbitrations, depositions, trials, client meetings, and other key events. Will receive regular formal and informal feedback on your ongoing performance and developmental progress. Will also have the opportunity to interact with the firm's partners and associates during informal social activities. Work on client matters and pro bono cases similar to what you would work on as a first or second-year associate. The firm also provides shadowing opportunities which may include depositions, arbitrations, client meetings, board meetings, and judicial proceedings. Mentors assist summer associates with all aspects of summer associate program, helping with work assignments and professional development and serving as a resource during time at the firm. Must have a strong interest in the office's practice areas and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Should have superior academic credentials, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. The program typically runs 8-10 weeks, beginning in May or June.
