Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber and data science skills to design, develop and implement secure systems for national security and DoD clients? We’re looking for an experienced cybersecurity engineer who can create solutions utilizing data science techniques that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.
You’ll design, configure, and implement advanced architecture security solutions in your client’s critical mission environments. You’ll coordinate work with network and systems engineers and Cybersecurity analysts to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll guide teams through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like endpoint-based detection, identity and access management, and advanced analytics. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like automation and orchestration of security events and zero trust methodologies, all while building peace of mind in critical infrastructure.
You Have:
10+ years of experience with systems and network security
Experience with Python, Java, or Spark languages
Experience with
machine learning, data visualization, statistical analysis, and other data science techniques to enable insider threat detection
Experience with writing and interpreting requirements for the implementation of network security and controls, endpoint security and firewall appliances and systems, and developing use cases for customers
Experience with Splunk or other automation, analytics, or infrastructure monitoring tools
Experience with performing hands-on duties supporting customers during product demonstrations, training, and implementations
Knowledge of risk and threat analytics
Ability to create, update, and maintain technical documentation and diagrams
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with DoD networks, programs, and architectures
Experience with product evaluations and conducting analysis of alternatives based on customer requirements
Knowledge of zero trust best practices and methodologies
Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation when dealing with ambiguous and fast-paced situations
Possession of excellent analytical, data mining, and problem-solving skills
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
