Web Applications Developer

Profile

This position is primarily responsible for developing code to support the university's ever expanding web site. This can entail development of custom web applications in various technologies such as C#, Javascript, HTML, etc., including applications within the Student Services Center. This position also helps to provide staff and faculty support for the university web presence relating to custom applications and access. This could involve creating accounts, assigning permissions, troubleshooting problems and many other tasks. This position will also be responsible for ensuring work is compatible with the university's content management system. Project planning and tracking skills will be an important factor in the success of this position as will coordination efforts with other campus constituencies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is highly desired
- One to two years of experience in the field of web development or equivalent experience
- The candidate should be well versed in website design and development and should also be skilled in some of the following technologies: ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, Java and stored procedures.
- The position will require the candidate to constantly adapt and learn new technologies.
- Excellent customer service skills are a must for this position.
-Significant related experience may be considered in lieu of listed qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred qualifications include XML/XSLT, AJAX, JQuery, Windows Active Directory, ETL and Kerberos.

-PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
