Great Expressions Dental Centers located in Jacksonville, FL seeks a highly motivated individual to work as a Help Desk Support Technician for our established corporate headquarters. GEDC is a growing Dental Practice Management Company and a leading provider of dental services managing over 180 dental practices in seven states and has been exceeding patients’ expectations for over 25 years.
General Purpose
As a Network Support Specialist, the role is to delivery Tier1/2 support to end users based in the Florida and Georgia region. The position includes troubleshooting network, VOIP, desktop and server related issues while providing support for internal projects. Candidates must be able to work in both independently and team environments.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically
Diagnose and resolve voice/data issues
Research questions using available information resources
Process Add/Change/Move phone requests
Follow company processes and procedures
Administer help desk software
Log all support interactions
Good problem solving skills with the ability to think creatively
Must be team oriented with the ability to work independently
Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Perform on-call duties as needed

Requirements
Education and Experience
Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
Experience with client/server applications
Windows Operating System (Windows 7 / XP / 2003 and 2008 server)
General understanding of LAN/WAN/WLAN topologies
Support of printing issues (Network based)
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, IIS, Terminal Services
Workstation imaging/setup
Remote support software (VNC and RDP)
Voice and Data cabling
AA degree and/or equivalent experience required
Key Competencies
Excellent Oral and written communication skills
Technical Orientation
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
