Job Summary
IT Global Category Contracts Manager leads the overall management of global IT contracts supporting Schlumberger business worldwide and for the resolution of all contractual issues in accordance with Supply Chain Contracts Best Practices, Schlumberger contracts and legal standards and IT standards. Complex IT Agreements which are global and strategic in nature, licensing agreements etc are all in scope.
Leads a team of legal/contract professionals as part of the IT Global Contracts organization.
IT Global Category Contracts Manager works closely with IT Procurement & Sourcing organization (IT P&S), IT organization, Legal, Vendor Management Office (VMO) organization, Technology organization, IP Department, various Divisions and Functions across Schlumberger and the Legal Services Centers (LSCs) .

Objectives
Govern, lead, and manage global IT contracts (software license, Cloud and IT Services, hardware and telecom services) and IT Category Contracts team, supporting IT Planning, Procurement & Sourcing and Schlumberger Vendor Management Office in identifying and managing contractual risks in strategic supplier contracts;
Manage the pre-post award contracting process for the IT Category;
Lead negotiations with Schlumberger critical IT suppliers, such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Accenture and other global and strategic suppliers;
Ensure compliance with Schlumberger contractual standards and legal guidelines;
Support relevant role-players in the commercial negotiation process;
Define and own global IT contract management templates, processes and strategy;
Expert support to Schlumberger Contracts and Legal Functions with respect to IT related contract and legal issues.
Activities
Provide supervision, management, orientation, and development of IT Category Contracts team, supporting IT P&S and VMO.
Establish global contract objectives that align with Contracts, Supply Chain, and Legal objectives.
Support the Global Category Managers, and VMO Managers in high level global contract negotiations.
Stay abreast of IT contracting models and processes and IT industry trends.
Assist with negotiating and resolving disputes with key suppliers in relation to strategic contracts.
Support the Global Contracts team, the General Counsel, Legal Shared Services in developing and implementing the Contract Lifecycle Management Program.
Develop and deliver training content that helps Legal Service Centres identify and mitigate risks in contracts.
