Senior Systems Administrator

Profile

Leading Global Financial Services Company is currently seeking a Systems Administrator who will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems workstations and servers in support of business processing requirements to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
This individual must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, take initiative, be a self-learner and manage multiple projects concurrently. Candidate should have expert knowledge of VMware and Windows Server administration experience with disaster recovery technologies and understand virtualization and data center technologies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5 years of professional, hands on experience with mid to large scale VMware environments in development and production settings, including implementing, troubleshooting, managing, configuring, and patching
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or the equivalent experience
* Strong working knowledge of VMware enterprise features (DRS, HA, VMotion, VCB, Update Manager) and P2V tools such as VMware Converter and/or other 3rd-party virtualization related toolsets
* 5 years MS Windows 2000/2003/2008 system and server administration, backup and recovery
* Experience with Active Directory, including Group Policy, Microsoft DNS and NTFS security to create, deploy, and maintain GPO's, AD Security Groups
* Have an understanding of SANs and general storage environments in VMware environments
* Knowledge and experience with various data replications strategies, configurations, implementations and management in order to support, troubleshoot and use in disaster recovery
