They demonstrate deep technical versatility, and the experience to deliver differentiated exceptional customer experiences to Rocket s customers by: Solving real problems for, and delivering real value to, our customers and partners every day Delivering successful outcomes for our customers and partners with speed, precision, quality, and innovation Demonstrating that we take commitments seriously to our customers, to our partners, and to each other This role will be part of the Rocket Software professional services team where we work on customer engagements to help migrate and convert systems from CA ACF2 to IBM RACF. The candidate needs to have a deep understanding of mainframe security technology and understands the steps to convert from one security system to another. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Primary Responsibilities: Solve existing production security issues as systems are converted to RACF from CA ACF2 Establishes RACF conversion plans and protocols to protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction Troubleshooting clients RACF issues with interfacing applications Delivers technical reports on daily conversion activities Analyzes and advises on security conversion topics w/knowledge of CA ACF2 Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with relevant individuals Services to Customers: Provide exceptional value-driven services to customers Builds upon established solution delivery techniques to help drive continual improvement Guides and trains customers in best practice configuration and use of Rocket products Establishes credibility as a Rocket product expert with all audience levels Mentors and teaches other consultants on product implementation strategies Leverages Rocket subject matter experts to provide effective and creative solutions to Rocket customers Assertively and persuasively deals with challenges Partners with Project Management to develop an effective approach to projects that considers customer objectives, timeframe, and budget Gains an understanding of the customer business and seeks to identify opportunities where Rocket can bring added value to the customer Required Qualifications: 10-15 years CA ACF2, or IBM RACF mainframe security engineering knowledge z/OS mainframe, TSO, CICS, DB2, VTAM knowledge, REXX Knowledge of defining and creating resource classes within one of the external security managers Knowledge of mainframe digital certificates Excellent project management skills, organizing, planning, and executing projects Strong verbal and written communication skills - must be able to effectively interface with multiple teams, both internally and externally Any knowledge of CA to IBM mainframe product conversions is a plus Ability to closely work with the Technical Support and Information Security Teams is required A 24/7 on call Team rotation availability is required Competencies: Strong organizational, research, analytical and/or problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations, and take effective action Ability to articulate complex technical concepts or scenarios to both technical and non-technical audiences Subject Matter Expert (SME) in security domains (CA ACF2) Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience Travel Requirements: Up to 10% Information Security: Information security is everyone s responsibility. LI-Remote LI-MM1 The base salary range for this role is $124,572.50 - $155,715.75 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. .
