JOB SUMMARY:
 
Provides nursing care for assigned patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with physician’s orders and established policies and procedures of the nursing department as well as professional standards of nursing, applicable Federal and State laws, state nurse practice guidelines, and regulatory agencies.  Communicates with physicians, co-workers, and other departments as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology, and is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.   Cares for patients of all ages.','!*! 
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
 
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of North Dakota.
- ACLS trained (Acute Care Nurses)
- Basic Life Support trained.
- TNCC trained (Emergency Room Nurses)
 
SECURITY ACCESS (HIGH):
-Incumbent has access to restricted or confidential patient information and must comply with the terms of the Lisbon Area Health Services Security Policies as it applies to their job role.

- Ability to read and communicate in English.

- The ability to evaluate patient’s status, prioritize and organize own workload.
- The ability to deal tactfully with all internal and external customers.
- Ability to work harmoniously with the team, and supervise assistive personnel.
- Ability to have flexibility, personal integrity, and work effectively with personnel, medical staff, patients and families, and support agencies.
-Ability to identify and report problems, use initiative and good judgment to reach quality decisions.

- Must be able to assist with lifting and transferring of patients.
