Associate Management Export Assistant Business Development

SUMMARY: The Associate Management IBU is responsible for collaboration and coordination in executing international customer and market initiatives for assigned global markets, ensuring that all internal and external teams are working together to achieve these goals. This position will serve as communication liaison between Business Units, Sales and Customers; Supporting new or existing account business across all categories; Understanding the competitive set, market place insights and product positioning. Additionally, this position will directly communicate with customers through the ordering process, gathering and organizing required documents, and coordinating communication and information with government agencies, customs, and third-party agencies in coordination with Quality Assurance and Legal. This position will be responsible for researching compliance with U.S. and international laws and regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of export products, prior to shipment.

Additional key responsibilities include: implementing and executing customer based activity around product development; conducting and delivering research on countries, export regulations, and customers; assisting with the forecasting and projection process; monitoring and managing inventory, developing product specs and labels; facilitating product registration; furnishing necessary documents and information to the export team; informing team of regulatory updates; assisting with logistics challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a business or marketing related discipline or equivalent combination of education and business experience required; International Business preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in International Business and/ or related field. Experience in exporting meats and/ or bakery preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication including presentation skills.

Special Skills: Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. Proven problem solving, priority setting, and teamwork skills; takes initiatives and is results oriented.

Travel: Up to 5 International trips per year.
