Long established professional services firm in the DC area is looking for
WEB DEVELOPER
to join their team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a web developer to join a growing organization in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate is one that has desire to build great web apps using HTML5, leveraging JavaScript libraries and modern tooling. Also, the ideal candidate is able to adapt to different responsibilities and wear many different hats.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible for the design and development of the user interface of web apps
Utilize HTML5 / JavaScript / CSS to build web apps that can run on different browsers, platform, and form factors
Leverage automated testing
Participate in code reviews
Constantly seek opportunities to learn and improve the team
Excellent communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable experience
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and CSS (2-5 years)
Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as jQuery
Bonus Qual's:
Experience using mobile technologies
Experience using HTML5
Experience with client-side MVC (Backbone.js)
Working knowledge of database technology
Understanding of continuous integration
Understanding of web services
Experience with advanced JSON or XML
Experience with contributing to an open source software project
Experience with automated testing
Knowledge of change management tools, Git, Subversion, TortoiseSVN
Understanding with Agile, including Scrum and XP
