Job Summary/Essential Duties:
 
1. Performs duties according to department specific expectations as identified and assigned. 2. Schedules procedures considering the availability of procedure room, equipment, staff and Anesthesia care provider utilizing surgical scheduling system. 3. Logs daily patient and procedural information into the mandatory computerized post-case log to meet all Joint Commission requirements. 4. Facilitates the collection of statistical data and prepares reports for management. 5. Prepares patient records and submits patient billing information for processing daily. 6. Reconciles daily departmental charges, patient charges and inventory utilization. Collaborates with charge audit nurses. 7. Updates surgical charges and specialty charge sheets as needed. Interacts with purchasing or vendors when appropriate.
