Senior Contracts Officer

Duties: To facilitate the translation of academic research into practical applications, for the benefit of society on a local, national and global basis; To do so at market-based terms, in order to support the research of Columbia faculty by generating funding for the University and facilitating partnerships with industry where appropriate; and to educate and serve as a resource for the Columbia community on matters relating to entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and technology commercialization. Report to the Associate Director of Contracts and Compliance, as well as work closely with the Senior Director of Contracts & Compliance and members of the Contracts team, and will receive ongoing coaching in contract interpretation and negotiation. Will receive exposure to the full breadth of intellectual property, as part of working on these agreements.
