POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Senior Developer will work individually or in teams to support the store systems of PVH.  They are responsible for analyzing and designing program logic to determine the best method of accomplishing requirements for changes to existing programs, development of new programs, or to determine the cause of program malfunctions. The majority of time is spent preparing detailed program technical specifications, design documents, and programming. Testing and debugging these programs, participating in systems unit tests, creating or updating procedural documentation, and implementing programs.  This position is a senior level technical contributor and is responsible for the timely completion of approved projects and deadlines, break- fixes, and meeting business service level agreements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

• Produces technical specifications documents. To include detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for programs
• Verifies coded logic by testing and correcting programs via unit tests; integrates individual programs into existing job streams
• Prepares documentation required to support production processing and change control.
• Preserves contacts within the IT organization with systems and programming personnel; maintains contact with internal and external customers
• Examines, reviews, and/or changes programs to adapt to changes in requirements or equipment configuration
• Maintains and alters existing applications programs; writes new programs, working with systems designs and specifications and utilizing standards procedures and techniques; Prepares programs requiring a wide variety and extensive number of internal processing actions; develops analysis and design of systems and/or programs; produces, tests, and documents program code; analyzes source and content of data; assists others with debugging when necessary
• Works on production support analysis‑type problems related to a production activity or process
• Cooperates in certain aspects of user consulting, systems analysis, general systems design,  detail systems design; learns user functions, organization and role in the enterprise to the extent required  
• Stays current on new technology
• Follows SDLC process

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:          

• Six plus years of full time employment in a programming position, experience in multiple languages and platforms
• Store Systems environment preferred
• Retail environment preferred
• Multi-lingual a plus

Education:  

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field, Computer Science, Math, and/or Engineering. Or equivalent work experience

Skills:

• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing;

• Excellent problem solving skills, particularly with regard to anticipating and solving issues or concerns before they occur or become critical
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be detail oriented and highly organized
