An experienced PCA or CNA needed to assist a former UNC professor who has dementia. The client lives with his wife in the home, and full disclosure here so be aware there are cameras in every room (not bathrooms) and the family constantly monitors and reviews the entire day each afternoon. The family not only expects you to act professionally at all times, but they watch those cameras every single day entirely after each shift to make sure that the caregivers stay off their phone and focuses on caring for the client.
Assistance mainly involves restocking his area with food and drinks, washing hands upon entry, wearing a mask the entire time, and taking him to lunch.
