Buswell Post Graduate Fellowship in Law
The Fellow, under the guidance of the Director and Deputy Director of the Center for Legal & Court Technology, will serve as CLCT's Assistant Director of Research and will conduct research in the field of Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and related technologies. Develop, with the Deputy Director, teaching material to educate judges, lawyers, legal academics, law students, and other members of the legal profession as well as non-lawyers on the legal issues likely to arise from the use of these technologies. Conduct research on the interrelationship between IoT, privacy and cybersecurity and how to foster cooperation between technologists, business managers, marketing personnel, and lawyers so that new technology products and services can be released to the public with a minimum of legal issues and risks. Supervise CLCT student fellows taking part in CLCT's efforts to produce and share knowledge on the core subject of the research. Support CLCT's international paper competition into the legal issues arising from AI and related technologies, as well as the organization of conferences, online workshops, CLE seminars, and other events on AI emerging technologies, and the law.
