Profile

We are seeking a Hadoop Integration/Big Data Application developer for our fortune 500 clients in Cupertino CA. It is a long term contracting opportunity.
Location: Cupertino, CA Duration:12 months

Hadoop Integration architect/Big Data Application Developer
A Must -- Implementation of large data solutions using Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, and/or Pig
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong design & development experience using Java/J2EE Stack- Eight years of extensive experience coding in Java (must be SERVER side)
- Experience with databases and business intelligence- Metadata Management, Enterprise data security architecture and Data Warehouse best practices
- Develop modules for data loading, transformation, access and export- Extensive experience with Data Structure
- Experience in designing and implementing big data solutions using Hadoop technologies (HDFS, Hive, HBASE, Pig) is a plus
- Strong database, SQL, ETL and data analysis skills w/ relational database systems & SQL
- Experience developing large scale web applications.
-Experience w/ troubleshooting performance – related issues
- Experience handling massive quantities of data from a type of company such as Yahoo, Google, Facebook, social gaming companies like Zynga, etc.
You should have several years of experience designing/ developing solutions to handle large-scale data volumes. The ideal candidate will bring a diverse skill set:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming and design experience, including Java.
- Experience in solutions like Teradata, Memcached is a plus,.
- Top notch experience with relational database systems and SQL.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Ant or Maven.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Subversion or CVS.
- Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks, including JUnit, is a plus.
- Project management using SDLC
- Leadership, critical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
