The ideal candidate is excited for the opportunity to work on a message orchestration platform that drives customer engagement by leveraging machine learning across our vast datasets.
Who?
Twilio is looking for Software Engineer (Backend) who lives
the Twilio Magic
and has:
3 years experience as a software engineer focused on implementing and managing large scale distributed systems.
Experience designing and building APIs for internal and external customers.
Experience with test driven development, test frameworks and automation.
Experience working on the AWS stack with strong understanding of AWS's security and networking models.
Knowledgeable in streaming technologies like Kafka or Kinesis and distributed storage systems like DynamoDB or Redis.
Knowledgeable in container and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Advanced ability to craft clear and concise documentation.

Constantly look for areas of improvement in processes, system and optimize. Be an advocate for balancing tech debt and feature development.
Design and implement various initiatives, scalable infrastructure solutions that meet Twilio’s high scale & performance needs.
Perform detailed and thoughtful peer code reviews.
Develop monitoring & alerting solutions that keep our system’s health in check.
Internalize the set of good habits (Development techniques, Test Driven Development, Security, Tech debt balance, Agile discipline etc.) that drives engineering excellence.
