Deputy Counsel
The candidate serves under the general oversight of the University Counsel and provides legal counsel to the highest levels of University administration in areas including to contracts, employment law, and higher education law. Should have J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school. Must have membership and good standing in a State Bar (KY membership required by date of hire) and must be maintained throughout employment. Must have 5 years of related legal experience, preferably in the legal areas of contracts, employment and/or higher education law. Knowledge of principles and procedures of legal research is required.
