RN CLINICAL NURSE II - UNC COVID VACCINE CLINIC','NUR00RJ9','!*!Job Summary:The Registered Nurse provides routine clinical and administrative support to providers and other health care team members in a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The RN works under the general direction of the designated manager/supervisor.Description of Job Responsibilities:1. Performs rooming and/or intake process, collecting necessary data needed to complete patient visit.2. Reviews patient’s current allergies.3. Prepares/reconstitutes COVID-19 vaccine for administration following strict guidelines per vaccine manufacturer.4. Administers COVID-19 Intramuscular vaccinations following manufactures guidelines and hospital policy.5. Ensures exam/procedure room contains appropriate supplies, equipment, forms and educational materials are available and ready for use during visit.6. Provides patient with after-visit COVID-19 educational materials. 7. Prepares, cleans, stocks and maintains exam rooms.8. Monitoring patients post vaccination for possible reactions.9. Assists with patient registration, check in/check out. 10. Answers clinic telephone and assists in-basket under the direction of a provider or nurse.11. Enters orders for vaccine and documents administration in EPIC.12. Assists in emergency situations as directed by a provider.13. Phone triage for patients calling clinic after vaccination with adverse reactions14. Assist CMAI/LPN with clinical questions as needed','!*!Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of nursing experience. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
 
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
