Profile
Seeking Spanish instructor to adapt a Mexican Spanish text for B1 learners.
We are currently looking for an experienced Mexican Spanish instructor to adapt a book of conversations (16,000 words in total) for B1 learners. The book is divided into short chapters of conversations telling an overarching story in Mexican Spanish. The purpose of the text is to teach Mexican slang, while maintaining a simple and clear writing style.
The job involves a great eye for details, and a conscious knowledge of B1 level requirements in order to adapt the language so that it is as simple and clear as possible without removing typical words and expressions. Moreover, the language should still sound natural and conversational throughout.
In order to apply please state:
What experience do you have teaching adults at B1 level?
How comfortable are you with Mexican slang and expressions?
What elements of vocabulary or grammar would you look out for in order to ensure the text is suitable for adult B1 level learners?
Your quote for the entire project.
PLEASE NOTE: this job is not intended for proofreaders. The job involves adaptation of the text into simpler language (see examples in the attached file) and not proofreading.
