Capital One, one of the nation-s top 10 largest banks based on deposits, is looking to build our enterprise-wide efforts delivering cutting edge Digital Leadership. Capital One-s EDS team is selectively recruiting a high-performing IT/Software Development Manager. As a manager on this team, you will help lead our efforts focusing on web data capture, web analytics, and tag management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3-4 developers performing JavaScript development to deliver analytics and other third party JavaScript tags via a Tag Management System.
- Lead the team in delivery, while providing technical guidance and direction in implementing analytics solutions and third party JavaScript tags.
- Drive and implement effective, proactive tagging strategy and methodology
- Define and implement development and delivery best practices
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, or a related technical field or military experience.
- 5 years industry experience as a software engineer developing web applications and services using JavaScript
- 2 years industry experience as a software engineering manager or team lead.
- Experience in working in a distributed development environment (Onshore/Offshore)
- Ability to multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.
- Excellent written/oral communication, project management and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate and present findings and recommendations to all levels and to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with implementing enterprise-wide web analytics solutions such as Omniture SiteCatalyst or WebTrends
- Experience implementing and managing tag management solutions such as Ensighten, TagMan or Tealium
- Experience in performing mobile development on iOS and Android platforms
