VP, Planning and Pricing
The candidate will establish and lead a structured review process involving broad set of stakeholders to review performance of key initiatives against goals, create easy-to-reference knowledge base of retrospectives and embed a performance improvement mindset and culture of accountability across the organization. Will review and recommend the organization's short- and long-term goals based on analysis and studies of both internal and external business conditions. Monitor and evaluate results of existing plans to ensure growth and profitability and recommend adjustments as necessary. Map key business outcomes to multiple initiatives and commercial activities via an outcomes map, aligning different but related activities, reviewing performance of each initiative/activity and recommend resource rebalancing to better support key outcomes. Represent NA Courseware in Pearson-wide strategic planning process (3YP). Build pricing strategies and explore incremental opportunities for growth via pricing across NA Courseware's existing and future offerings. Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Market Research & Insights to understand industry trends with regards to marketplace pricing and translate that market data into a digestible and actionable format. Higher level degree such as Master's, MBA or J.D./MBA is preferred. Background in education technology is required. Must have 10-15 years of experience with 10+ years of experience in a corporate planning / strategy consulting/ performance improvement role at an education or technology company. Ability to write clearly structured planning and performance recommendations is required. Fluency in Tableau or equivalent business intelligence systems and tools is a plus.
