Associate Director of Development - Law School
Duties: Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of DAR – Law School, the Associate Director of Development – Law School assists in planning and implementing the programmatic vision for the Law School’s development and alumni relations office. In addition to identifying, cultivating and soliciting alumni, friends, firms and foundations for major gifts, the Associate Director also supports the Associate Dean in coordinating operational services and activities, and helps to integrate the Law School’s major gift fundraising efforts with the work of the Director of Alumni Relations, the Annual Giving team, and other Law School and DAR colleagues. Identify, cultivate and solicit alumni, friends, law firms and foundations for gifts of $100,000 and above Develop solicitation strategies for potential major gift donors Make direct solicitations, including coordination with dean, faculty, and volunteers as needed. Manage a portfolio of approximately 70-75 major gift prospects and donors. Support the Associate Dean in coordinating operations regarding major gifts fundraising, alumni relations, public relations, and communications. Working with prospect research, gift processing and accounting, reporting and analysis, office management, budgeting, and collaboration with Law School and DAR colleagues as needed. Work with the Associate Dean to establish fundraising goals and strategies for annual and comprehensive campaigns. Support the Associate Dean in strengthening the School’s major gift pipeline. Represent the Associate Dean. Continuously compile, review, and analyze project outcomes against established goals, objectives, and timelines; Recommend process improvement for program and services; Use appropriate resources to effectively and efficiently resolve problems. Uphold departmental and institutional policies regarding confidential information. Work cooperatively with DAR colleagues and develop strong working relationships with other University offices. Perform other duties as assigned.
