Strategic Sourcing Director
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements. Lead development of a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program for BECU’s vendor portfolio. Lead development of a “center-led” strategic sourcing function that advises internal clients in support of their primary ownership of vendor selection practices (including request for proposal and RFx), vendor performance monitoring practices, and vendor renewal, termination, and conversion practices. Classify BECU’s vendors by the nature of the services or goods provided and identify opportunities to optimize the number of vendors in BECU’s portfolio. Identify vendor cost optimization opportunities across BECU and assist business unit leaders and senior management in prioritizing and implementing related governance documentation and action plans. Analyze business process maturity, control mechanisms, and critical process gaps, with a goal of aligning sourcing strategy with long-term strategic and financial objectives. Develop program for conducting market analysis to understand sourcing options, vendor offerings, and industry trends. At each stage of programmatic development and maturation: (A) conduct robust discovery and requirements gathering on the front end; (B) promote and communicate the sourcing strategy to senior management and other key stakeholders, ensuring that changes are well-socialized and well-supported by key stakeholders; and (C) coordinate change management, communications, and training to support successful enterprise adoption and implementation. Upon request, advise BECU attorneys, outside counsel, and BECU contracting staff on vendor business terms. A Strategic Sourcing Director with a law degree and relevant experience may provide legal advice. Develop strong, collaborative relationships with business units and internal stakeholder groups, including cybersecurity, business resiliency, compliance, privacy, enterprise risk management, project management, finance, legal, and vendor management.
