Responsibilities
Operate as part of worldwide team to develop, deploy and support design flows
Activities
Design flow development
Working with global team, develop design flows supporting IC layout design processes
Propose, evaluate, qualify and deploy new CAD tools.
Qualify new technology offerings by exercising design flow in advance of product teams
Mandatory Skills & Experience
5-10 years of experience in digital/ Mixed Signal design flows using back end synthesis and timing tools such as Design Compiler, RTL Compiler and Primetime. Fluency in Verilog and/or VHDL required.
Good understanding of CCS & NLDM timing models.
Knowledge of using the Synopsys, lib libraries and library compiler.
Some exposure to Scan and Test Compression, DFT Compiler & DFTmax.
Understanding of Low Power Flows, Tools such as Power Compiler, PT-PX.
Some exposure to Digital and mixed signal simulation required
Knowledge of Placement, Floorplaning DC-topological preferred.
Exposure to Flows in 130nm, 40nm and 65nm with multiple foundries such as UMC & TSMC.
Prior tape-out experience preferred.
Strong understanding of Floor-planning, Die sizing, IO Planning.
Good understanding of closing timing in multiple corners.
Understanding of Primetime, Timing, Extraction.
Programming experience with tcl, Perl, Skill, Makefile and Shell
Experience with data management tools (Subversion, CVS, Design sync)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude, desire to learn and contribute in a fast paced global team
