Description
Humana is looking for a Lead Requirements Management Process Owner that is passionate about both requirements and process improvement. We are looking for someone with the expertise, creativity, and customer-centric focus to make requirements management and the tools that support it, the best possible experience for the 7,000 authors and consumers of requirements documentation at Humana. You will be empowered to make strategic and tactical decisions to bring our High Performance Engineering mission to life: advance Humana's engineering practices with best-in-class DevOps and Agile capabilities to accelerate speed to value with quality.
Responsibilities
The Lead Requirements Management Process Owner plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives and works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. This Lead will actively participate in the IT Process Council and collaborates with other IT process owners and will be responsible for defining the future of our Requirements Management System (RMS), its integration to an enterprise planning tool, and the corresponding processes and standards.
Other Key Responsibilities
Evaluate existing processes
Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement and identify indicators for future improvement opportunities
Collect data to determine root cause of problems
Measure performance against process requirements and align improvement to performance shortfalls
Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
Deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
Observe, survey, and analyze best practices within Humana and externally for techniques and processes
Perform cost and benefit analyses
Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance
This role is a remote, work at home role anywhere in the US. Candidates in Louisville will have flexibility to work both in office and at home once CDC restrictions are lifted, but will be 100% work at home in the interim.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
5 years of experience documenting requirements
5 years of project leadership experience
2 years of process improvement experience
Proficiency in business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
Strong business and financial acumen
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Project and Visio
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport at all levels within the organization
Ability to interact with and defend position with senior management
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite, wireless and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure Boards
Six Sigma Black Belt
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified SAFe Agilest, or similar Agile certifications
