The candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of federal and State court employment litigation matters including allegations of discrimination, workplace harassment, retaliation for whistleblower activities, violation of the Family & Medical Leave Act; performs other duties as required, under the supervision of Assistant Attorneys General in the Litigation Practice Group, the Section Chief and/or the Assistant Section Chief of the State Police, Employment and Corrections Section. EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an Attorney at Law in the State of New Jersey is required. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as a practicing attorney. LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position. PREFERENCE: Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the areas of employment law or general litigation.
