Sr Network Engineer

Profile

Sr. Network Engineer position with responsibility for maintenance and support of the LAN/WAN, and wireless network. The Sr. Network Engineer must demonstrate competence in L2 and L3 switching and routing, and possess strong analytical skills for troubleshooting large TCP/IP networks. This position requires previous hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco/HP/Avaya routers and switches. This position also requires competence with wireless network concepts, security concepts, network management, and remote access systems.
In this role, Sr. Network Engineer will apply expert technical analysis, design, and implementation skills to ensure that newly deployed infrastructure meets the needs of the client's business strategy and guiding architectural standards. Sr. Network Engineer will leverage your expertise to ensure the network infrastructure components adequately support the application environment. In addition, Sr. Network Engineer will coach project teams in the design, development, and implementation of project-specific infrastructure components and be part of on-call rotation and work in third shift as needed.


Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
· Experience in service operations, system configuration and working with problem management tools
· Extensive interdisciplinary knowledge of Cisco/HP/Avaya routers and switches
· Comprehensive understanding of network infrastructure components, including routed and routing protocols and network design.
· Ability to analyze infrastructure components to identify efficiencies and improvements
· Ability to maintain accurate documentation of systems
· Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, technical and analytical skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources and build visual models depicting network infrastructure components
· Experience managing infrastructure for a high volume, highly available set of applications
· Ability to work comfortably in a high-energy, multi-vendor environment
· Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
· Knowledge of client-server and service-oriented architects
· Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification
Windows server and workstation working experience will be preferable.
Senior Network Engineer needed for network design along with troubleshooting of network. 7-8 years of experience CCNA required and CCNP desired. Routing and switching, ability to see entire process of connectivity through from desktop, configuration to servers.
