Title IX EEO Deputy Coord - Associate Director of Title IX Programs and Equal Opportunity Ombudsperson
The candidate with monitoring and oversight of overall implementation of Title IX Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity Programs at the University, including coordination of training, education, communications, mediation, and administration of grievance procedures for faculty, staff, students and other members of the University community. Will be responsible for serving as an Ombudsperson with regard to issues related to Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972, the ADA, and other applicable EEO and nondiscrimination laws. Designated neutral providing confidential and informal workplace and relationship conflict/dispute resolution options for the University community which includes student, staff, faculty, and other employees. The position, with regard to the Ombudsman role, is a confidential resource and employee concerns reported to the Ombudsperson will not be considered notice on behalf of the University. The Associate Director of Title IX Programs and Equal Opportunity Ombudsperson will conduct regular training sessions for UA employees and students regarding positive and productive conflict resolution skills. Additionally, the position may serve in an investigator role with regard to sexual misconduct investigations pursuant to the Code of Student Conduct as needed.
