Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the team in a Manufacturing role. The ideal candidate is someone who can take initiative, has experience with Manufacturing innovation systems, and overall - is a strong Project Manager that can take the lead.
Duties:
Drive the execution and delivery of Manufacturing projects that are approved and funded
Guide complex technology projects from inception through delivery and support, working in close partnership with IT and business leaders, including project, program, executive sponsors, all IT groups, as well as other leaders within the business and IT
Define objectives, create plans to achieve objectives, track/report progress against objectives and budgets, drive execution of key projects and programs, coach project team members and improve project management processes
Provide overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts
Help establish new and improved project management processes and methodologies for IT organization to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adheres to high quality standards, and meets Stakeholder and Customer expectations
Facilitate in-scope, on-schedule, on-budget and high-quality delivery of all assigned IT projects in the portfolio
Follow and exemplify consistent project management practices, processes and metrics
Develop clear, business language presentations for senior leadership to support swift decision making, Risk management and issue resolution when needed
Maintain, socialize and enforce the overall project management lifecycle
Work in conjunction with the VP of NA IT, IT leaders and other executives on key decision-making activities during project execution as needed
Mentor, coach, develop & encourage excellence from project teams and less experienced project managers
Continually upgrade and enhance knowledge of program / project management processes / methodologies and provide a key source of expertise when needed
Provide tactical and strategic input to IT leadership and other personnel on all aspects of projects being managed
Act as thought leader within the IT organization in helping streamline and standardize key processes across functions
Work with IT & business leadership to document a clear vision of a business problem or opportunity being addressed with IT services, and how it supports the business plan
Incorporate best practices into IT organization, beginning with project / program management practices
Desired Skills/Experience:
2 years demonstrated experience in Information Technology, working on Manufacturing related projects with a focus on Manufacturing technologies
Demonstrated experience with planning, managing, and tracking multiple complex and major impact projects.
Demonstrated experience with managing stakeholder expectations, implementing service improvement initiatives and communicating effectively with senior management.
In-depth experience with IT Manufacturing
Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and time management skills
Effective team building, cross-collaboration skills
Strong working knowledge of Project Management tools
Strong oral and written English communication skills
General knowledge on IT Manufacturing and Computer technologies
Experience operating in a manufacturing environment
Keeps Manufacturing technologies knowledge up to date.
Technical resource for others, follows technology best practices and standards.
Experience with PM tools (i.e. MS Project, PlanView, JIRA, Clarity, etc.)
ERP experience (SAP or Oracle has a large manufacturing component)
