Description:
Experis Engineering is seeking a Senior Developer. The position will be verifying all interfaces and functions of silicon in an emulator and simulator environment. The Senior Developer will be building new drivers in this environment and modifying legacy drivers.
Key is to have a strong Knowledge of KMDF and/or UMDF in PC Windows platforms (Windows 8). This translates into knowledge of Windows internals - Windows 8 internals (not Win CE!)
Skills Required:
Excellent understanding and development expertise in Windows especially Windows 8 is critical.
Proven ability to build tablet and phone form factors devices on Windows and/or Android is vital.
Near field communication (NFC) experience.
Strong execution capabilities using Agile software development methodologies is essential.
IA firmware:
Strong Windows internal knowledge and should have worked in BIOS domain in IA platforms in a project that spans at least 2 years.
SLIMbus architecture firmware experience is a plus.
Kernel and Device Drivers:
Experience in Core Windows OS internals:
Real time / embedded aspects of OS
Device Driver know-how
OS relevant device driver architecture
Board bring up in Windows
Boot loaders (board bring up experience in Windows)
System resource management in OS
Kernel Hooks
Kernel Debugging
Desired Skills:
2 years of development experience with Windows Microsoft Driver Framework (KMDF/UMDF libraries), and driver debugging on Windows (related skills: HAL, DDK/WDK, WDM, WMI, IFS, and static driver verifier).
5 years of hands-on development in C/C and multi-threaded programming with system level knowledge, kernel and user-space software components. C# development experience is a plus.
Education:
BSCE or BSCS degree or equivalent education
