SUMMARY: The function of this Food Safety Quality Assurance clerk includes a variety of clerical tasks: entering daily audit information into a summary for review; distributing mail to the appropriate departments; maintaining a foreign object tracking log; tracking HACCP and SSOP monitoring deficiencies; answering phone calls and taking messages; assisting with special projects; maintaining daily audit packets; maintaining records retention and paperwork destruction logs as it pertains to Tyson policy; organizing and fulfilling daily paperwork from both shifts; entering summaries from meeting minutes; entering claim information into a Quality Action Report database and plant view for tracking and trending. Reviewing Plant View data entry for completeness of checks, data, verification, calibration, logs, observation, verification, pre-shipments, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education in general office and clerical skills preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one year administrative clerical experience.

Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office are essential.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal written English communication skills.

Special Skills: Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ability to multi-task prioritize tasks and possess extensive organizational skills are necessary in this position.
