Legal Aid Attorney
The candidate should be licensed attorney in the state of South Dakota to serve as an independent contractor in the role of Legal Aid Attorney. Shall provide appropriate legal services for the Students’ Association, as well as legal advice and assistance to students enrolled at university on an individual basis representing students in court or administrative or university proceedings, but may include assistance with preparation of simple legal documents including, but not limited to, powers of attorney, wills, living wills, name change, and divorce. Independent professional judgment will be utilized in the selection or control of any legal matter or legal counseling to serve the interests of any individual client and shall be free from interference, influence, or control by any organization, officer, person, or agent of university.
