What Youll Do:
Function as Automation & Controls Subject Matter Expert for large projects
Develop and manage A&C engineering standards
Collaborate with IT staff to sustain up-to-date engineering standards and best practices for the OT network
Support plant engineers in troubleshooting installed systems
Support plans to develop A&C engineering proficiency
Support delivery of automation projects according to company objectives
Establish, improve, and implement A&C training for engineers and technicians
Lead cross-functional teams to meet project goals on time, at or below cost, and to meet quality standards
Communicate project status and key issues to colleagues and leaders
Anticipate problems and mitigate risks with thoughtful planning.
What Youll Bring:
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering. Will consider other Engineering disciplines based on experience and proven track record
7 years of experience managing engineering projects within a manufacturing environment, along with 5 years of project planning and implementation
Expertise in managing multiple projects and activities at the same time
OT network design and programming expertise
PLC, HMI and SCADA skills
Advanced knowledge of industrial controls system architectures, protocols, and standards
Knowledge of DB structures and architecture, management of data, and plant floor systems
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software skills
Hands-on programming and design of controls systems for packaging, packing, automation and processing equipment systems (i.e., labeling, vision, robotics, case packing, mixing and clean in place systems).
Highly desirable: Food processing experience in a cold environment, GMPs, Hazard Analysis (HACCP) and related regulatory rules, agencies, and compliance standards
Ability to travel up to 30% with occasional night/weekend hours to meet project needs.
