Job Description
Formulates and defines system scope and objective through research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those applications. Includes application development for the claims application, the medical management applications, data warehouse and other misc. applications using the MS SQL server platform.
Functions as the primary technical and analytical support for packaged application(s) operating on the MS SQL Server platform. Designs, develops, and supports to complex integration processes (including interfaces) using SQL Server technology, stored procedures, and SQL program code. May act as a team lead around their respective application projects. Develops custom reports, some of these are complex using multiple data sources, using a reporting product such as Crystal Reports or MS Reporting Services to support business functions. Works with business users to troubleshoot & resolve production issues. Provide after hour’s production support as needed
Primary Skills needed:
Five or more years of programming experience using the MS SQL Server development tools
SQL Server development skills using T-SQL to design and develop integration processes, interfaces, stored procedures, etc.
Must have experience with SSIS – (SQL Server Integration Services)
Strong data Design skills – looking for experience with data flow diagramming, data modeling, table design – mostly so that external vendor interfaces will work properly.
Must have good communication skills since they will be interacting directly with business users to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Required Skills:
At least 5 years of programming experience using the MS SQL Server development tools.
Heavy SQL based experience
Strong data design skills – data flow diagrams, data models (physical/logical), database table design
Strong analytical skills
Requirements gathering
Customer facing skills – communication, personality
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) a must
Preferred skills (nice to have)
SSRS – (SQL Server Reporting Services) orCrystal Reports a big plus
.Net experience a plus
Healthcare/Medicare knowledge a plus
Trizetto QNXT/FACETS support experience a big plus
