Privacy + Cybersecurity Associate - Mid-level
The candidate should have J.D. class of 2015-2017. Must have hands on familiarity devising practical solutions for public and private companies subject to FTC jurisdiction and U.S. and global privacy laws with particular focus on ad tech, ed tech, fin tech, COPPA, CAN-SPAM and emerging technologies, including the IoT, block chain and biometrics. Must also have experience drafting privacy, data handling and cybersecurity policies, and conducting privacy due diligence for deals and other corporate transactions.Familiarity with cross-border data transactions a plus. In addition to strong substantive experience, we're looking for a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a fast paced, collegial law firm environment. Candidates applying for attorney positions with Goodwin should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to learn from our experienced, deep bench of senior lawyers. Massachusetts bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.
