Manager Supply Modeling

Summary:

This position supports the supply capacity planning community through process and technology subject matter expertise. The primary objective of this role is to drive improvements through technology processes and people.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:


Assisting planners with modeling production network and inventory strategy changes in the planning tool

Capturing issues identified by planners and working with IT to diagnose and resolve

Testing logic and technical changes with IT and planners

Developing and delivering a training plan that includes a course outline handbooks reference pages and refresher materials on a recurring basis

Collaborating with supply planning leadership to influence process maturity and continuous improvement.

Planning tool support is primary focused within: JDA Fulfillment JDA Production and Sourcing Optimization PSO SAP ECC SAP IBP Supply SAP IBP S OP SAP IBP Control Tower S 4 and various reporting solutions such as Microsoft Excel Microsoft Access Sharepoint Analysis for Excel AFE and Tableau.


Requirements:


Requires a Bachelor s degree in discipline related to this position.

6 plus years of experience in Supply Chain and planning processes tools preferred.

A background in JDA Manugistics software is strongly preferred.

Advanced in: Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook Sharepoint; Knowledge of: SQL Microsoft Access and JDA Manugistics.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills; ability to motivate and inspire cooperation as well as instruct and teach; ability to influence; ability to network with Tyson s operations and logistics associates; ability to communicate to a variety of levels users business owners IS Support analysts etc. on system capabilities process changes enhancement requests system configurations etc.

Special Skills: Extensive problem solving skills to understand user needs and translate them into system requirements for the IT support team as well as the ability to develop and implement process improvements; excellent understanding of how the Supply Capacity Planning process works how Demanding Planning is performed and how the two processes work together; technical skills and aptitude to investigate develop propose and implement system configurations basic SQL programming and data modeling; detailed analytical skills to review system output and develop and maintain applicable performance metrics.

Travel: Varies based on situation. Typically 3-6 domestic trips per year.
