My musical play OH SOLEDAD Musical of a Journey of Peace has won a production opportunity at the New York Theater SUMMERFEST (now scheduled for November at the Hudson Guild Theater - tentatively, of course, thanks to COVID 19), and unofficially another slot at an Off-Broadway run, and has had very favorable preliminary feedback from many members of the Broadway community.
That said, while the music is strong, the Script is not & needs a professional upgrade - also with additional comic input.
The total production budget is well defined and the Dramaturg/Script component is unfortunately limited to $450 USD, as a work-for-hire agreement, & subject to standard formatting of scripts for NYC musical theater.
But this would need to include the actual primary rewriting of this script by the dramaturg/scriptwriter (with only secondary input from myself – the composer/writer/producer). A background in musical theater is preferred, though not mandatory. Also, we would like to complete this within 3 weeks after commencing this process.
It is a beautiful story that has a message very pertinent to our current societal needs. It is a story that MUST be told!
