Job Details:
The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a team achieve the pedigree farm objectives. The essential functions of this position include: achieve production Targets; maintain genetic security and purity; achieve a culture of Biosecurity and Animal Welfare; achieve a culture of safety; have and developed qualified and effective team members; communicate and collaborate appropriate pedigree related objectives; and produce reports. Accountability Role: Responsible for supervising a team of mostly non-exempt TMs; includes mentoring exempt TMs providing training to non-exempt TMs monitoring work quality coaching TMs on performance and contributing to TM pay decisions changes; responsible for the quality of results produced by the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education : College degree or equivalent experience with 2 plus years of progressive experience in field of expertise.
Experience: Experience: Two 2 plus years poultry management related experience
Computer Skills: Proficiency in data collection and management through Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
Supervisory: Will supervise a team of hourly position including leads.
Travel: Minimal domestic trips.
Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the work day. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds .
The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Farm Hatchery Biosecurity Standards.
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities Team Member is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.

During the current Pandemic (2020), all Team Members will be required to wear company issued facial coverings. Training will be provided to each Team Member specific to their job and their facility location in addition to signing an acknowledgement form they understand these expectations.
It is considered an essential function of each job for a Team Member to wear the company issued facial coverings. If a Team Member indicates they will not wear the mask, they will not be considered for the position in which they are applying or any position that requires the facial covering. If a Team Member has a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing the mask, Cobb will engage in an interactive process to determine whether a reasonable accommodation can be provided that addresses the safety concerns associated with the Pandemic and allow the Team Member to perform the essential functions of the job.
