The Senior Engineer will support the Open Mission System (OMS)/Universal Command & Control Interface (UCI) Standards development and maintenance, training materials development, and interfacing with HHQ, program offices, research laboratories, FFRDCs, and academia.  The engineer will support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Open Architecture (AFLMC), Management Office (OAMO) with outreach and coordination with adopting programs and ensure program equities are included in the prioritization of OAMO efforts related to OMS/UCI.  The engineer will support consortium meetings and other government-led meetings related to OMS/UCI. The engineer will review and provide comments on consortium-developed materials (standard, plans, training materials, etc.).  As needed, the engineer may provide impromptu training and education on the OMS/UCI standards to potential adopting programs. Location of work is at Wright Paterson Airforce base in Dayton, OH.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesConducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of mission systems.  Determines mission systems open architecture needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls, and system integration.
