In this leadership role, the candidate will work with other members of the Infrastructure and Security staff to design implement and maintain the Windows 2003 and 2008 Active Directory enterprise environment. This role will help lead the planning and management of Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows-based security and Windows server system configurations/deployments.
In addition to stewarding the Microsoft-based enterprise network, the candidate will take a leadership role in the management of two company datacenters. Datacenter responsibilities will include but not be restricted to managing the VMware virtual server environment used to host Windows-based servers as well as managing multiple SAN solutions.
The right candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills and must be a self-starter. This role requires a strong sense of ownership and support for the Windows environment while proactively integrating with the rest of the Technology team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary architect and administrator of the Windows 2003 and 2008 Active Directory enterprise environment.
Provide technical leadership, supervision and mentoring to less experienced Technology staff.
Provide final Tier of Helpdesk support for the Windows environment.
Respond to emergency Helpdesk calls and critical alerting related to system performance.
Fulfill multiple project requirements simultaneously.
Administrate and support Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2010 environments.
Administrate and maintain VMware virtual environments.
Manage and support multiple storage arrays.
Integrate, configure and maintain all Microsoft and third party network applications within the Windows environment.
Responsible for maintaining Data Retention requirements for the Windows environment through the use of traditional tape backup technologies while helping develop and integrate multi-site storage-to-storage data replication strategies.
Prepare specifications for new software and hardware systems that adhere to strict technical standards and ensure operability to Windows environment
Assist compliance efforts for the Windows environment; provide IT audit support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Expertise in Microsoft 2003/2008 Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Expertise in Microsoft Server management and administration.
Expertise in Microsoft 2003/2010 Exchange servers.
Expertise in Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Server administration.
Expertise in managing VMware server clusters, including virtual server load balancing and data retention strategies.
Proficient in managing a multi-vendor SAN environment.
Proficient in fulfilling Data Retention requirements using network-based software solutions, virtual machine administration and intelligent storage volume management.
Thorough knowledge of third party network applications, including Anti-Malware Windows-based solutions.
Thorough knowledge of managing multiple network operating system clients.
